Our personal experiences with stress, conflict, and trauma often shape the way we communicate, lead, act - and react, make decisions, manage boundaries, and operate our businesses — often without conscious awareness.
In the legal profession, many of these survival-based patterns are normalized and even rewarded, despite contributing to burnout, reactivity, overwhelm, and unsustainable habits.
This program explores how personal trauma and chronic stress may impact the practice of law, client relationships, conflict management, leadership, and overall well-being. Participants will learn to identify common stress-based operating patterns and will be introduced to practical tools and simple daily practices designed to reduce reactivity, cultivate effective communication skills, create greater emotional resilience, and support a more sustainable and fulfilling life, both in and out of the office.

About the Speaker:
Angela Hayden has been a practicing attorney for over 25 years and is also an ICF-certified life coach, peer recovery coach, and a believer that we can practice law differently—and better. In her coaching and consulting practice, she has a particular interest in the impact of trauma and stress on lawyers and clients, and on finding simpler, more human and alternative approaches that allow lawyers to do good work without losing themselves in the process.
