  Join us for a summer of golf! We are hosting our lessons with golf pro Jonathan Douglas at beautiful Pembroke Pines County Club in centrally located Pembroke, New Hampshire on Thursdays throughout the summer.

  We are capping each session to eight (8) attendees (with the exception of our last two sessions, see details below) to ensure attendees can learn the "skill of the week" with some one-on-one instruction from Jon.

  Each session includes small group instruction and a $10 voucher to use that evening at the 1759 Grille at Pembroke Pines.

  By registering, you are signing up to learn the following skills during the below dates:

  • Week 1 (July 10) – Putting and Chipping
  • Week 2 (July 17) – Irons 
  • Week 3 (July 24) – Woods
  • Week 4 (July 31) – Course Play with Jon
  • Week 5 (August 7) – Course Play with Jon

  During Weeks 4 & 5 we will increase attendance to up to twelve (12) attendees to participate in "drop-in course play" with Jon. 

  Attendees will come out and play the course in small groups, with Jon providing tips and instruction for reach group as they play. These last two weeks are included in the the registration fee for the lessons, and will also be available for up to four (4) additional folks on Thursday, July 31 and Thursday, August 7.

  Folks of all skill levels are welcome  and we ask that you provide some details about your skill level (and whether you need to borrow clubs) at registration.

• Family Fun in the Studio!

  Join us for some messy and creative family fun and networking with the kids. Bring your own kiddos, your grand kids, nieces, nephews, or even neighbors. Everyone is welcome as there is something to do for everyone.

  The morning session is 10:00-11:30am and will be geared towards the littlest littles (0-3 years) and the afternoon session, 2:00-3:30pm, for the bigger kids (4+) but please come to whichever session best fits your schedule or if you have kids in both age ranges.

  The Creative Duckling is a children's art and activity studio in Pembroke, NH and is great for all ages. They are able to get creative, make a mess, and have fun while learning, working on fine and gross motor skills, collaboration, trial and error, cause and effect, and social skills.

  Adults are free and children are $8.00 for Members and $10.00 for Non-Members. The registration fee covers the use of the entire studio including kinetic sand, coloring, fine motor manipulatives, dry sensory bin, stepping stones, the paint panels, and the spray station. Adults get free use of the studio alongside their child(ren).

              

  Art projects and activities can be added on for a small fee (payable at the studio) as listed below:
  

  • Tempra on canvas- $2.00 (various techniques are available to suit the age of the child)
  • Bleeding art tissue on canvas- $2.00
  • Sand art bottles- $5.00 (Best for kids 5+ and adults)
  • Ceramics with acrylic paint- $5.00 (This paint is not washable but it gets to go home with you that day. Best for kids 5+ and adults)
  • Beaded pen, keychain, badge reel, or bookmark- $5.00 (Best for kids 5+ and adults)
  • Wish Pearl Jewelry- $5.00 (Novelty oyster you get to open and find the pearl to make a necklace or bracelet. Best for kids 5+ and adults)
  • Diamond art keychain- $5.00 (Best for kids 8+ and adults)

  Join naturalist and educator Linden Rayton of Living Water Nature Programs for a foraging walk along the Weir Rd. trails in the Boscawen Town Forest/greater Concord area. 

  We will explore and taste edible plants, learn ways to identify what you find in nature, and discuss foraging safety and sustainability.

   Long pants and closed-toed shoes recommended. 

  This program is rain or shine but will be cancelled for freezing/heavy rain or hazardous weather.

  Although the timing may not work for all families, this foraging walk is open to guests of all ages!

  Back by popular demand - join us for a private Beginner Trapeze Yoga class at High Definition Fitness in Portsmouth!

  Beginner Trapeze is designed with beginners in mind, offering a perfect balance of strength-building exercises and deep, supported stretches to improve flexibility. You’ll also experience the benefits of spine-lengthening inversions, which can help relieve tension in the back and hips. This class is open to all and focused on “go at your own pace.” It is ideal if you’re looking for a low-impact workout that’s both challenging and supportive. In addition to increased strength and flexibility, regular practice with the trapeze helps with back and hip discomfort, making it a great choice for those looking to improve overall well-being. ​

  This class can sometimes cause dizziness for those that are not used to being upside down or suffer from motion sickness. This class is not recommended for those that are pregnant, have high blood pressure, a heart condition, glaucoma, a recently fractured back or leg, osteoporosis, or hernias. Please consult with your doctor before joining a class if you have any health conditions or injuries that may put you at risk in this class.

  Join naturalist and educator Linden Rayton of Living Water Nature Programs for a birdwatching walk along the new Merrimack River Trail in Concord (we will meet behind Buffalo Wild Wings off of Loudon Road).

  Whether you are a devoted birdwatcher or brand-new, there will be great birds to see here.

  Bring a pair of binoculars or borrow one of three loaner pairs. Waterproof footwear and long pants recommended. 

  This program is rain or shine but will be cancelled for freezing/heavy rain or hazardous weather.

  Although the timing may not work for all families, this birdwatching walk is open to guests of all ages! 

  For folks who are interested, please consider joining the group for coffee and breakfast in downtown Concord following the walk. More information will be provided to attendees closer to the event.

  What better way is there to spend a Saturday in September than at the orchard with your friends from the NHWBA?! We will be meeting up at Carter Hill Orchard, a beautiful family-run orchard since the 1700s, at 1:00 PM.

  Come for conversations, apple picking (learn more about the varieties that will be available at the Carter Hill website), and enjoying the autumnal weather, stay for the delicious treats and fresh apple cider!
