NHWBA is excited to partner with Sheehan Phinney to provide members with a virtual CLE program on domestic violence and its impact on family law matters.
The event will also include a legal updates section on new case law and statutes impacting family law from the past year.
Through thoughtful presentations by Tina Schumacher of Voices Against Violence, Jessica Morrissey of NH Legal Assistance, Lyndsay Robinson of Bernazzani Law, and the Honorable Susan Carbon of the New Hampshire Judicial Branch, attendees will learn about crisis centers, the psychological aspects and impacts of domestic violence, NH Legal Assistance, the DOVE Project, and impacts domestic violence has on the court system. Nicole (Faille) Forbes of Sheehan Phinney will present 2020 Updates to Family Law in NH.
Attendees will leave with valuable practice tips and practical considerations in working with victims of domestic violence (regardless of whether the client identifies as such) through all aspects of the attorney-client relationship, settlement, and litigation, including prosecuting and defending domestic violence issues.
This CLE has been approved by the Family Mediator Certification Board for CLE credit as follows: Domestic Violence: 4 hrs., Legal Update: .50 hr.
